The release of the app coincides with the publication of &#8220;The Genius of Dogs: How Dogs Are Smarter Than You Think,&#8221; written by Hare and his wife, Duke research scientist Vanessa Woods.<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/r.smartbrief.com\/resp\/ejmXCertqOCfxQueCidncUCicNAQBd?format=standard\" target=\"_blank\">TechNewsDaily.com<\/a> (2\/4), <a href=\"https:\/\/r.smartbrief.com\/resp\/ejmXCertqOCfxQufCidncUCicNBAMw?format=standard\" target=\"_blank\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> (2\/3)<\/p>\n<p>A dog scooting butt-down across the carpet may not seem like the clever animal that comes closest to human babies in communication skills. But a Web <a id=\"itxthook0\" href=\"#\" rel=\"nofollow\">app<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"itxthook0icon\" src=\"https:\/\/images.intellitxt.com\/ast\/adTypes\/icon1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>aims to build on the discovery by enabling thousands of dog owners to record the results of playful experiments with their canine companions.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dognition.com\/\">&#8220;Dognition&#8221; project<\/a> could revolutionize scientific understanding of dogs by gathering <a id=\"itxthook1\" href=\"#\" rel=\"nofollow\">data<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"itxthook1icon\" src=\"https:\/\/images.intellitxt.com\/ast\/adTypes\/icon1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a> from man&#8217;s best friends all over the world.
