My 3 year old Chihuhaha loves to eat paper, and Q tips, paper towel, toilet tissue. Other than keeping Q tips and paper awayy from him, is this hurting him?
I’ve started making our older dogs (14 & 11) food. Using left over chicken, beef, ham etc… and lots of vegetables, beans, legumes etc…I’ve read garlic & onion in excess are harmful, but small amounts daily? What about turmeric, curry, ginger powders added to their food. Which mushrooms can they eat? They have arthritis in their hips….it seems to help.
What is the Calcium Phosphorus ratio in this diet? While it’s probably Ok for older animals an unbalanced ratio for a puppy could lead to rickets with broken bones.
How bout selenium? How much salt? You and I can get away with similar diets but we don’t eat the same stuff over and over.
As far as the garlic and onion I am pretty sure you could ingest arsenic if in real small amounts and what if the cobra bite just scratched you just a real tiny bit. (near sighted cobra?)
